IMPACTING Children BY
Empowering Donors + Doers
PIVOT came to life as a way for individuals, corporations and nonprofits to activate a powerful mission of creating life-changing, measurable outcomes for children.
PIVOT is accelerating smart giving
In 2019, PIVOT raised $1.2 million for Colorado’s youth. Those funds are already hard at work supporting a new, innovative collaboration between Girls Athletic Leadership Schools, Big Green, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado and the DU Graduate School of Professional Psychology.
Partnership in Focus
Partnership funded by PIVOT brings support services to students at school
BIG GREEN is teaching important skills that can build healthy habits of students for a lifetime.
Big Brother Big Sisters
Big Brothers Big Sister of Colorado provides mentoring that helps improve academic performance and build self confidence.
Our first partnership is anchored at The Girls Athletic Leadership School and supports children through multiple ways.
Big Green is teaching the foundations of nutrition and healthy eating through their learning gardens. Students manage gardens and eat the food they grow.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado provides mentoring for juniors and will help guide them beyond high school.
Girls Athletic Leadership Schools of Denver
The Girls Athletic Leadership School is PIVOT's academic center for our collaborative partnership program. GALS is a public charter school that prepares young women for a successful future.
DU Graduate School of Professional Psychology
The University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology placed clinical psychologists at GALS. They provide behavioral health and wellness support for students.
Through the University of Denver, professional counselors are placed in the school daily to support the emotional health of student at The Girls Athletic Leadership School (GALS).
Psychology interns from DU work at GALS as part of their clinical rotations. This increases the clinical care for increased access for support services for students.
This comprehensive approach brings the services directly to children. It’s more efficient, removes barriers to access and provides greater impact.
Building a Better Future
We provide services for children and young people whose families need support, who can’t live with their birth families, who are are disabled, and who are the most in need.
