John Elway’s PIVOT Foundation collaborated with Kimbal Musk’s Big Green to develop a learning garden and nutrition program for local youth

PIVOT, a new Denver-based non-profit supporting Colorado youth, joined Big Green in April to celebrate the installation of a new learning garden on the campus of the Girls Athletic Leadership School of Denver (GALS).

The funding for the garden originated from PIVOT’s inaugural $279,800 grant announced and distributed late last year, including $60,000 that was given to Big Green to create the garden and $16,000 donated to GALS to administer and maintain the garden at the school. Through PIVOT, Big Green will work to educate GALS staff and students about growing vegetables and the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits.
